Cirkla Modo, a consultancy supporting companies on their questions toward a sustainable and circular system of fashion, is proud to be a partner of C.L.A.S.S. (Creativity Lifestyle and Sustainable Synergy – a hub for smart material innovation, education, marketing and communication for fashion based in Milan, Italy, founded more than a decade ago).
In this collaboration, Cirkla Modo digs deep into the research and analysis of innovations for fashion – fibres, textiles, processes, companies and systems – to better understand the sustainable approach of each, the positive impacts, market applications, and, for sure, the circular fashion aspects. For the research, topics such as company’s environmental background, benefits and technical characteristics, transparency and traceability and, when available, LCA-Life Cycle Assessment and EPD-Environmental Product Declaration are evaluated.
Along all the years, CLASS has gathered a relevant number of commercially available smart sustainable and innovative materials at its library. Some are even offered through its online platform in small quantities, supporting start-up businesses and independent designers as well.
With Cirkla Modo’s work, the background information of each innovation selected can be better understood and, consequently, better communicated – providing a comprehensive overview of the different alternatives, thus supporting the decision making processes of clients while purchasing new materials, developing new products, and/or connecting to new partners in the supply-chain. A win-win situation to all involved.
