Cirkla Modo at Smart Creation / Première Vision Paris

Once a year, during September, the space Smart Creation at Première Vision Paris is presented. This year, the 5^th edition, the 1200 sqm area showcased innovation and responsible materials, services and designs for a forward-thinking fashion market, unlocking the potential of sustainable fashion! Among the exhibitors, organic cotton and silk, innovative materials and processes, new recycling technologies, alternative trims and dyes, and service providers on the field of sustainability. From Japan to Brazil!

In the main corridor, samples and a short introduction of the Exhibitors could be seen and touched! In another area, a library of textiles and trims, as well as design garments made within sustainable concepts. During the whole event, there were also talks and presentations at Innovation Talks Area!

Cirkla Modo has been invited by C.L.A.S.S. – a global hub for smart material innovation, education, marketing and communication on sustainability for fashion – as part of their collaboration on research and analysis of smart sustainable materials and processes.

Cirkla Modo has also been invited by two Brazilian brands selected for the Smart Creation: NCC Natural Cotton Color and Eco Simple. Both brands showcased their different views on sustainability in fashion, but with a common point: cotton without any dyes! NCC has as amazing work on organic natural colored cotton. Eco Simple offers recycled cotton textiles.

It was astonished how organized and well-visited this part of the fair was, with many international brands going around and interesting connections being made. Proving that it is definitely a platform for sharing new perspectives for the entire creative fashion industry, accompanied by opportunities for business development.

As a circular fashion change agent, it was great to see many aspects of circularity been touched. The challenge is still big, but platforms like Smart Creation can, for sure, build up connections and foster positive changes!
